Orientation Update

Hi Class,  Here are a few more details for preLPN Orientation scheduled for August 31st:

Orientation will be held in room 21 in the basement of Career Link  (1016 N. Charlotte St).  This classroom is across the hall from the cafeteria (Par Cafe) in the back of the building.

Enter the building from Charlotte Street and get a visitors sticker at the front desk. Tell them that you are heading to the IU13 classrooms,  and they may help get you headed in the right direction.

Orientation starts at 9am, please leave plenty of time to find the classroom.

Please bring an empty folder, if you have one.  I will be giving you some handouts, and it would be best if you could keep them protected -- together, and in one place.  Organization is a huge part of school success!

You will be asked to fill out several forms at Orientation.  You will be asked to supply your address, phone numbers, email address, and social security number.  In addition, you will be asked to supply an emergency contact (name and phone number).  Please come prepared with this information.

Lastly, RELAX!!  This orientation is simply an opportunity for you to learn about the class and how it can help you achieve your goals.  You are not committing to anything by attending the orientation.  However, if you do NOT attend orientation, you should know that you may be put on a waiting list for the class.  We have many students interested in the class, and our classroom can only accommodate 18 students.  Please show your interest by attending.  (If you have a conflict with the orientation date, please let me know ahead of time, and we can make other arrangements).
